My Autumn Empire

My Autumn Empire is the dream-pop and folk project of self taught multi-instrumentalist and producer Benjamin Thomas Holton, who hails from England’s landlocked Staffordshire. Benjamin crafted his solo sound whilst composing works as a founding member of accomplished post-rock experimenters epic45 and combined those fundamentals with his inherent love of folk and classic pop. He has previously worked with July Skies, Bibio, Stephen Jones (Babybird), Hood and Ian Crause (Disco Inferno). As well as playing live with Mick Turner (Dirty Three), The Fauns and Riley Walker.

Simon Raymonde played tracks from the 2014 album ‘The Visitation’ on Amazing Radio. As well as being played by BBC 6 music’s Gideon Coe and Tom Ravenscroft that same year, more recently in 2016 by Lauren Laverne and receiving continued support with radio-play by the BBC’s Stephen McCauley.

An early incarnation of My Autumn Empire, first played live in Japan, while on tour in 2008. Other notable live performances have taken place at Rock-o-Rama, Toulon and Union Chapel, London and A Carefully Planned Festival #5, Manchester.
